Those in need of support and companionship will continue to grow within our communities as our medical advances continue to carve new pathways into longer lives. Families and individuals are increasingly faced with mounting medical expenses, time away from work during curative and rehabilitative treatments and social isolation.
The elder orphans within our communities continue to grow- many facing life every day with the realization that they have outlived family and friends.
What better way to serve congregants than with a spirit of compassionate service. It is an absolute human certainty that no one can know his own beauty or perceive a sense of his own worth until it has been reflected back to him in the mirror of another loving, caring, human being.
It takes a community to care, support and accompany those in need ~ one heart, one family and one community at a time. We can no longer rely on organizations and institutions, the need is too great and the numbers are too large. We, collectively, on a grassroots, boots on the ground level, must step forward with outreached hands and courageous hearts begin creating compassionate circles of care.
Our community end of life caregiver trainings are tailored specifically to each faith groups beliefs, ceremonies and rituals in end of life care. These programs can help prepare your congregants to support each other by adding an extra cushion of support, enhancing quality of life when its needed most. Through our training programs you can enhance your support committees abilities to recognize elder orphans and at risk congregants, learn the skills needed to sit vigil, support families who are caring for a loved one who may be actively receiving treatments, and those facing ongoing chronic or terminal illness.
The Heart of Dying works closely with each faith group to intentionally design a collective body of knowledge, wisdom, hands on skills, workshops and ongoing support within our coursework. Together we will not only incorporate but honor any and all ceremonies and rituals pertinent to the spiritual and/or religious beliefs of your community while ensuring compassionate heart centered care is at the forefront of our programs.
